Our Mission is to Rescue Unwanted and Stray Cats and Kittens, and take care of them, until new loving  FOREVER homes are found.

Every Year, we take in many cats that have been abandoned and in a very poor way. We find it very difficult when we have to turn people away, when contacted. But obviously we can only cater for a certain amount of cats at any one time. Their comfort and health is paramount when with us, and we do not like to be overcrowded. One of the most usual concerns when contacting us as regards to to taking cats into our welfare, is will the cat be put to sleep?

The answer to that question is NEVER. Unless of course there is no other alternative. Obviously for this to happen the cats have to be very sick indeed, and it would be in the cats best interest,to let it go peacefully.  We work very closely with our vetinary surgeon, and we do everything we possibly can, to go on to improve the health of the cats in our care.If anything needs doing it is done!

In this current climate, we are finding more and more cats left as stray, as people find they cannot afford the vetinary upkeep. So it is not unusual to find cats arriving that have lots of medical issues and need attention. It is, sometimes very difficult to go on to rehome these cats, as they are not always the most perfect looking cats in the world due to neglect. But usually if you can get by their looks, you will find  most of these cats, are so grateful to have a nice new warm home, you will not regret adopting them. They make very loving companions. We do not pick and choose the cats that pass our way  and obvioulsy it is only human nature, to want the prettiest cats, but it is always wonderful to see our older cats go on to loving homes too, and spend their twilight years comfortably.

Of course we enjoy our work otherwise we would not do it, especially when it is pouring with rain or snowing, we have to tend to our cats in our care, whatever the weather throws at us. We have to make sure they are warm and well fed, that their water is fresh (and unfrozen every day) and that they get enough stimulation with new toys and treats, and of course the most important thing  lots of cuddles and they all love to be talked too. The icing on the cake and the most rewarding part of this job, is to see our rescued cats move on to new loving homes.

I hope this has enlightened you, regarding the work we do and we welcome any phone calls or emails, if you are interested in homing  any of our cats, that would be even more wonderful.

We do not put any pressure on you when you visit us, we only give you the information for each individual cat, so that you can make your own mind up as to which cat suits you. Then if you feel you would like to go away and have a think no problem! Many people visit us with an image of the cat they would like to rehome, and go away with something totally different and maybe sometimes two! and maybe none at all. At the end of the day you
have to spend a lifetime together so it has to be a happy one for both you and your new cat or kitten. We keep in contact with you and always follow up on our homed cats, we like to  know that everything is going well and you and your cat have overcome any settling in difficulties, some cats settle in straight away others take more time depending on their backgrounds. Each cat is as individual as you or I and have their different characters

And what happens to the ones that never get rehomed? well you will find them at home with us in our gardens in all sorts of places,  and we love them all. (And so do the neighbours! thank Goodness)
